The SC3D is a micro processor based used to heat your pool/spa from your solar collector. The controller does this by sensing the temperature on the roof and the temperature of the pool. If the roof temperature rises 7° above the pool temperature and the pool temperature is below the set point then the controller will switch power to the solar pump, which in turn will cycle the poo water through the collector to heat the water and then return it to the pool. Ifthe pool temperature rises 1° above the set point or the roof temperature falls to within 2° of the pool water the controller will switch power off to the solar pump. This pump uses solar panels located on the pump shed roof, or somewhere close to the pool.
There is absolutely no running cost for this pump
Expected life is in excess of 10 years, as there are no parts to maintain.

The pump controller is an MPPT electronic unit, that maximizes the amount of water flow by adjusting the voltage and current from the solar panels, to optimize the pump running speed according to the solar input conditions.
